Bert, a.k.a. ‘Berchman,’ is the primary pixel pusher for HamiltonBerchman. He is the worker, the manager, and the entrepreneur.

Prior to forming HamiltonBerchman Design Group, Inc., Bert was the Director of Cross-Media Publishing at The Thacher School. Responsible for all matters pertaining to publishing the institutional message, he designed the school’s award-winning website. He designed and produced all printed materials communicating the school’s message to the larger community—everything from business cards and stationary to the school magazine. This work has enriched his design and publishing skills, and has vastly increased his experience in dealing with an incredibly varied and talented group of individuals.

Prior to his experience at Thacher, Bert worked for a variety of firms in graphic design, advertising and publishing including the Hearst Corporation’s Albany Times Union in New York, J.R. Navarro and Associates in Los Angeles, “On The Boulevard” publications, Lakeshore Learning Materials, and Jensen Design Associates, Inc.

Bert is a graduate of Hartwick College with a B.S. in Information Science and a B.A. in Fine Arts.

Elizabeth Mahoney

Vice President, Art Director

Elizabeth is currently a Fine Arts and Photography teacher at The Thacher School and Chair of their Art Department. She provides the artistic leadership for HamiltonBerchman Design Group.

Upon graduation from Skidmore College with a B.A. in Fine Arts, Elizabeth exhibited her artwork in galleries primarily in Southern California. In addition to her experience at Thacher, Elizabeth has worked as a freelance photographer and designer for a variety of clients and firms since 1995.

Her passion for the arts, her teaching, and her wide-ranging experience make her ideally suited to provide the artistic leadership for HamiltonBerchman. Her exceptionally rigorous aesthetic standards guarantee that HamiltonBerchman clients receive work of the very highest quality.
